Baptism!

The world is a crazy place. A LOT has been going on! It blows my mind.

Yesterday, we were studying with my friend Aidyn, and we talked about a vision the prophet Lehi had. In the vision there is a tree representing God's love, and staying by the tree and eating the fruit is where happiness is. But so many people lose their way, turn their back on the tree, and even mock those eating the fruit. It really hit me how crucial the love of God is in my life. Nothing is worth getting distracted from that! Following God has brought me SO much joy.

We've been asking everyone we know what one word they would use to describe Christ. I have LOVED the answers we've gotten. I'll tell you some of my favorites: love, joy, strength, praise, glory, adventure, happy, close, worth it, steadfast, exciting, living water, progressing, hope, peace. It's so cool how individual Christ's relationship is with each of us.

We just came home from Rebecca's baptism. It was such a special time. She loves Jesus Christ so much, and really knows Him. I'm so excited for her. I know Heavenly Father is really proud of her.

Love you all! Have an amazing week! Email me at liberty.johnson@missionary.org

LOVE,
Sister Liberty Johnson

It's Good to be Home

Missions are hard. You give your whole self every single day for a long time. You have to do scary things like talk to people you don't really know and have major changes in your life every 6 weeks and tedious things like create workshops plan. Yesterday, Sister Maxfield and I were both hangry and trying to plan a lesson and just started laughing at ourselves cause we were struggling so hard! But there are also times of complete, full joy that I can't even describe that makes everything else so worth it.  Cindy got baptized Saturday morning, and it was one of the most wonderful things I've ever been a part of. She's gone through a lot to get to where she is now and has a lot of hard things yet to come, but she is truly converted to Jesus Christ and cares more about following Him then anything else. There is such a light about her! After the baptism, she said she felt this weight lifted off her that she didn't even know was there. In church, she bore her testim...

Member Work Works

Guys, let me tell you about my week. God is a God of miracles. He leads us to people we can help or leads them to us, and it is humbling to watch. We started teaching 4 people this week, all through their member friends. Aw, it makes my heart happy.  Last Sunday in ward council, our ward was all excited about a lady named Helen. She had just moved in and used to meet with missionaries in the past. We knew nothing about her, so we talked to some other sisters and Buck was a hero and got us on a video call with past missionaries and friends that met with her before. One of her member friends set up an appointment for us, and we went over to meet her. She is really sweet and says she wants to get baptized but isn't ready to commit to anything. But God's hand was definitely in all of this because Helen just moved in with her niece Michele. Michele is going through a lot-- way a lot. She is a strong women. We started talking and connected hard. The Spirit was there. She said sh...

Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone! I hope y'all had an incredible Christmas. I did. It was definitely weird not be home and for there to be no snow on Christmas, but this week was awesome. First, the funniest, strangest thing that I have ever experienced happened this week. On Christmas Eve, we were going around delivering Christmas cookies to some of our friends. About a month ago we met this dear old lady named Marcie, and we decided to take some cookies to her. Sister Johnson has incredibly good intentions, but she is also new to this whole driving in Harrison, AR thing and is terrible at directions. So, we go up to knock on the door, and this old man walks out. We ask if Marcie is there, and he looks really confused and says, "My wife?" We're like, yeah. So we go in, talk to this old guy we don't know. I'm confused at this point because I was pretty sure Marcie didn't have a husband. Then, this old lady (the guy's wife) comes in, and she is definitely  not  Marci...
