BEST WEEK OF MY LIFE!

Good morning! I am so excited to tell you about my week. It has been amazing. But first, I have an exciting announcement! We have changed our Facebook page to "Followers of Jesus Christ in the Greater Ozarks." If you want to come closer to Christ and see how He's helping me during this wild time, you should like it. :)

Anyway, to my INCREDIBLE week. Wednesday Sister Wells and Sister Kershaw came for the day. Y'all, they're the best. It was such a wonderful day. I did Harrison work with Sister Wells. And Harrison is my old home!! It was so good to reconnect with some of my people and see how they're progressing. Garrett gave such a beautiful prayer and Sister Abeyta is preparing to go to the temple. My heart is so full. Also, we went to a cookie dough place, and Sister Horspool and Sister Kershaw made us a blanket for! We partied hard.

I also made a new friend this week. Her names Rebecca. Last Monday, she went to ComeUntoChrist.org and requested a missionary visit. We called her, and she told us she wants to join the church. We finally met her yesterday. She came to a church service in our bishop's home. Guys, it was incredible. The most sacred experience of my life. She has such a good spirit about her. She has been prepared like crazy. Our church was all about the gospel of Jesus Christ (my favorite thing), and I really saw the Lord in it. We asked her if she had any questions, and she asked how she can join the church. She's going to get baptized on May 31st.

This is the Lord's work. He loves each of us so much and wants us to be happy. It blows me away that I am in a position to help people come closer to Him. I have been praying to be led to people who are prepared to receive Christ's gospel, and it keeps happening. God answers prayers. 💕 How have you seen God's hand in your life this week? I'd love to hear.

Love you all! Thanks for caring about my life enough to read my emails. I miss y'all!

Love,
Sister Liberty Johnson

It's Good to be Home

Missions are hard. You give your whole self every single day for a long time. You have to do scary things like talk to people you don't really know and have major changes in your life every 6 weeks and tedious things like create workshops plan. Yesterday, Sister Maxfield and I were both hangry and trying to plan a lesson and just started laughing at ourselves cause we were struggling so hard! But there are also times of complete, full joy that I can't even describe that makes everything else so worth it.  Cindy got baptized Saturday morning, and it was one of the most wonderful things I've ever been a part of. She's gone through a lot to get to where she is now and has a lot of hard things yet to come, but she is truly converted to Jesus Christ and cares more about following Him then anything else. There is such a light about her! After the baptism, she said she felt this weight lifted off her that she didn't even know was there. In church, she bore her testim...

Member Work Works

Guys, let me tell you about my week. God is a God of miracles. He leads us to people we can help or leads them to us, and it is humbling to watch. We started teaching 4 people this week, all through their member friends. Aw, it makes my heart happy.  Last Sunday in ward council, our ward was all excited about a lady named Helen. She had just moved in and used to meet with missionaries in the past. We knew nothing about her, so we talked to some other sisters and Buck was a hero and got us on a video call with past missionaries and friends that met with her before. One of her member friends set up an appointment for us, and we went over to meet her. She is really sweet and says she wants to get baptized but isn't ready to commit to anything. But God's hand was definitely in all of this because Helen just moved in with her niece Michele. Michele is going through a lot-- way a lot. She is a strong women. We started talking and connected hard. The Spirit was there. She said sh...

Ag Girl!

Hello! How are y'all? This week I went back to my agricultural roots. And let me tell you, I know the joys and discomforts of agricultural life.  First, I'm coaching the Harrison FFA Meats team, and we had our first practice this week. I've spent lots of time sorting through piles of old tests from past FFA advisers, finding meat ID quizlets, and asking Mr. Noorda so many questions. And so far, it's going incredibly well. :) I have a team of 3 guys and they seem quite dedicated. They're going to memorize all the beef ID by Tuesday. Second, I harvested chickens. This incredible couple has chickens, and last time we were at their house, they were showing us how they harvest them, and Sister Kershaw was like, "Can we try?" So, we went over this week ready. I cut a chicken's throat and helped pluck them. I felt very triumphant.  In other news, business is booming. We have been so busy! Pretty much the same things as always, so not too ...
