Love

Good morning! I miss you guys. 💕

Sorry, I didn't email last week. I was at Silver Dollar City!!! It's an amusement park in the old west with way good roller coasters. This incredible family took us. I'll send lots of pictures. :) It was the funnest thing of my whole life! EXCEPT, the lesson we had that night. It was even better.. We were chilling outside with our friend Levi talking about families and how they can be together forever and the things we do to make them strong. And I was like, wow, this is why I'm here. I can't imagine anything making me happier than sharing what I love with people I love.

Speaking of people I love, I serve with SUCH incredible missionaries! We had some legendary pickleball matches this week. And we stressed about our lives together because we found out about transfers last night!!! Y'all. Crazy times. Sister Hess is LEAVING ME! She's just moving downstairs though and serving in Chesterfield. :) I'm getting a new missionary, Sister Newitt. I'm sure she's a legend. Pray for us that we'll have the time and capacity for all the important things we need to do in the next 6 weeks.

I'm a little stressed about how everything will work out, but also very excited and at peace. The last couple weeks, I've been thinking a lot about my why. I think that why you do things is almost more important than what you do. My reason is love. I love the Lord SO much, and I love people. I think God's reason is love, too. In John 3:16, it says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son." It was all out of love. It brings a lot of focus to my life that the message I have to share is the reason I'm sharing it.

I love you all!! Email me at liberty.johnson@missionary.org. Have the best week. :)

LOVE,

Sister Liberty Johnson

It's Good to be Home

Missions are hard. You give your whole self every single day for a long time. You have to do scary things like talk to people you don't really know and have major changes in your life every 6 weeks and tedious things like create workshops plan. Yesterday, Sister Maxfield and I were both hangry and trying to plan a lesson and just started laughing at ourselves cause we were struggling so hard! But there are also times of complete, full joy that I can't even describe that makes everything else so worth it.  Cindy got baptized Saturday morning, and it was one of the most wonderful things I've ever been a part of. She's gone through a lot to get to where she is now and has a lot of hard things yet to come, but she is truly converted to Jesus Christ and cares more about following Him then anything else. There is such a light about her! After the baptism, she said she felt this weight lifted off her that she didn't even know was there. In church, she bore her testim...

Member Work Works

Guys, let me tell you about my week. God is a God of miracles. He leads us to people we can help or leads them to us, and it is humbling to watch. We started teaching 4 people this week, all through their member friends. Aw, it makes my heart happy.  Last Sunday in ward council, our ward was all excited about a lady named Helen. She had just moved in and used to meet with missionaries in the past. We knew nothing about her, so we talked to some other sisters and Buck was a hero and got us on a video call with past missionaries and friends that met with her before. One of her member friends set up an appointment for us, and we went over to meet her. She is really sweet and says she wants to get baptized but isn't ready to commit to anything. But God's hand was definitely in all of this because Helen just moved in with her niece Michele. Michele is going through a lot-- way a lot. She is a strong women. We started talking and connected hard. The Spirit was there. She said sh...

Ag Girl!

Hello! How are y'all? This week I went back to my agricultural roots. And let me tell you, I know the joys and discomforts of agricultural life.  First, I'm coaching the Harrison FFA Meats team, and we had our first practice this week. I've spent lots of time sorting through piles of old tests from past FFA advisers, finding meat ID quizlets, and asking Mr. Noorda so many questions. And so far, it's going incredibly well. :) I have a team of 3 guys and they seem quite dedicated. They're going to memorize all the beef ID by Tuesday. Second, I harvested chickens. This incredible couple has chickens, and last time we were at their house, they were showing us how they harvest them, and Sister Kershaw was like, "Can we try?" So, we went over this week ready. I cut a chicken's throat and helped pluck them. I felt very triumphant.  In other news, business is booming. We have been so busy! Pretty much the same things as always, so not too ...
