Happy Day!

Last night, Sister Horspool sat out on our front porch, blew bubbles, and talked about what's in our souls. It's warming up here in Missouri, and it was beautiful. And I realized that I have the best life ever.  It has been SUCH a good week. We've just been doing the work and loving people, and it's so fulfilling.  One thing we're really excited about is we've started 2 Come, Follow Me groups with the women in each of the wards we cover. It was so fun to get to know them and talk about Christ's gospel and what that looks like in action.  We had a miracle on Saturday. We were delivering masks we had made for people (just dropping them off on people's doors cause social distancing). We were in this apartment building, and a man comes out of a door across the hall. We say hi as he walks past. Then, when we go out to our car, he asks us if we're from a church. He told us that he just moved here, he hasn't been to a church in 4 years,...

True Joy and Profound Peace

Hello! I'm so excited to tell you about my incredible week. So, usually I'm a pretty emotionally stable gal. But, the past couple weeks, my emotions have been all over the place. It's been a weird time. I've had times when I'm not okay and times when I have such joy and times when I feel so much peace. And sometimes it's all at once. I've been trying to figure out why this happens... if you have wisdom, please share. :) Not okay: So... some things that are not okay right now is that I miss physical human interaction. The few times I get it are always the highlights of my week. Also, when people I love have a hard time I struggle.  Peace: I had some rough days and didn't really know what was going on. I was praying and studying a lot and evaluating my life. Then, Saturday, Sister Horspool and I went on a walk in the rain. We go on walks every day, but this one was special. I was overwhelmed with this profound feeling of peace. All my...

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!!! 💚 What a good week it has been. Let me tell you some highlights.  Wednesday, we had a Book of Mormon study with my friend Cindy. She has been quite skeptical about reading the Book of Mormon. We read the introduction with her, and when we got to the part that talks about Christ coming to America, she got so excited! She was like, maybe I'll actually have to read this book! It made me realize what a big deal it is that we have additional teachings from Jesus Christ, Himself.  I also hosted 2 parties and a concert this week, not in person, don't worry. :) Friday we had a zoom call with some young women. We made a social media bingo board for Christians in isolation. :) I'll post it soon-- be excited. Also, yesterday, we had an Easter party with the sister missionaries in our stake. We dyed Easter eggs and talked about Jesus and had a lovely time. Yesterday, we also had a Facebook Live Easter Concert. The Spirit was really there, and we were b...

HYPED!

Who knew being self-isolated could be so incredible?? Y'all, this has been a solid week. I'm always exhausted city at the end of the day (I don't know why staying inside all the time is so tiring), but my days are full of good things. I'll tell you 4 highlights of my week.  1. Masks The hospitals in town are in desperate need of surgical masks, and we've been very involved in the process. Last week we made a ton of kits to make masks, and this week we got to pass kits out. Wow, actual highlight of my life! A ton of cars came through and we handed kits through their windows. I think we gave out 700 kits, and each kit makes 20 masks. Springfield is incredible. The best was that we were OUTSIDE with PEOPLE. Wow. We've also been sewing a ton of medical masks. This weekend Sister Horspool had the idea to post on Facebook offering to make cotton masks for people. 6 people have already reached out to us needing masks.  2. Roadtrip!!! Yesterd...
