Seeing God's Hand

Hello, hello! What a week it has been! Guys, I LOVE being a missionary. It's my favorite thing I've ever done. So many things work out so perfect that I can't help but see God's hand in it.  Here's an example. Wednesday night, we were in charge of the young women's activity. We planned human foosball in the church parking lot. We were SO excited and invited everyone we know. But we were also a little stressed cause all of a sudden this week got COLD. It doesn't rain like this in Nevada. Ever. And the humidity. It's freezing. Wednesday night was so nice. Perfect weather, I didn't even wear a jacket and the activity was such a success.  Thursday night we had a relief society party. It was really fun. I'm a big fan of parties. 😁 I sat by the nicest lady that I'd never met before. She's a member. We got talking, and she told me that she lives with her sister who isn't a member and used to meet with missionaries. I knew the sisters...

Life Is Like Moving a Giant Black Table

Hello, hello! What a wild week it has been.  Last Tuesday we went to a lady in our ward's house to do service. We'd helped her out a few times before, usually with little things that only take a few minutes. We get there, and she asks us to move a table from one room to another. Easy enough. Well, the table was piled high with all kinds of things. She told us just to put it on her bed. So we do. Then we realized we had to move this dresser to get it at a better angle to get it through the door. When it still wouldn't fit, she pulled out her swiss army knife, and we took the door off to give us a little more room. It still wouldn't fit. At this point, we were late for an appointment, but we couldn't leave with mountains of stuff on her bed and her dresser in the living room. We prayed so hard and turned the table every way we could thing of, and, by some miracle, we got the table through the door and into the other room. We went home and ate icecream after that...

Guided by God

Y'all, this week was FIRE. We have been LED by the Lord, and it's the most exciting thing of my life. :) I moved back downstairs and am living with 3 sisters. It's really fun cause they're all my best friends. I have a new companion, Sister Salmons (who is legendary), and we are just covering Southern Hills. We have TIME. It's the weirdest thing. I have a lot of ideas of what to do with this time, but honestly have no idea what I'm doing. But the Lord does. And I've felt Him in a very real way. Friday morning, we went on a walk for exercise. We went a route we've never gone before and I hadn't planned on taking. And we run into this lady name Christina. She asked us where the bus stop was. We helped her find it and talked to her a little bit. She said she had been praying for God to send someone to help her. My companions name is Grace, and when we told our names she got so excited and said she was pretty sure we are actual angels sent from God. ...

Coolest Thing EVER!

Y'all, the coolest thing EVER happened this weekend. The prophet of God talked to us. And it was legendary. :) If you missed it, go to ChurchofJesusChrist.org. It's definitely worth it. They talked so much about unity and putting God first during hard times and Jesus Christ. I'm on a new quest to figure out who Christ is, come to know Him, and become like Him. Wish me luck because it's a big quest. 😁 Let me know if you have any advice.  This has been a big week. So many incredible things! I found out that I'm moving back downstairs, and I won't be covering the young adults anymore, just my family ward. I am HYPED to have more time to spend on my people! Also, I'm going to be companions with Sister Salmons who I LOVE!!!  Some other highlights were yesterday Levi told us he wants to work towards baptism. Saturday we helped sell clothes in the rain. We also trimmed a lot of bushes.  I love you all a ton! Have an incredible week!!!
