My Last Words

Good morning!! This week was really good. Quite normal though. Lots of visiting people, talking about Jesus, service, all the good things. I do have one story. Saturday we went chalking with our incredible ward missionaries. We went to the park, ate pizza, and wrote scriptures and whatnot in chalk on the sidewalk. It was a lot of fun. Also, definitely inspired. Sister Flippo, one of the ward missionaries, has been wanting to find someone to start teaching for months. It was her idea for us to go chalking. I was praying so hard that something would happen. And it did! Sister Flippo started talking to this random guy about the church and the scriptures we were writing, and he was like, "You're my people!" Apparently he met with missionaries years ago. We talked forever, and we gave him a Book of Mormon. I was so grateful that the Lord was guiding us and he answered my prayer. We found this cool video called  One More Day--What would you do?  that asks ...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Good morning! This week was so fun. We were spoiled for Valentine's day. Different people gave us flowers, chocolates, cupcakes. So many nice things. I'll send a picture. :) I love Valentine's day when everyone shows how much they love each other.  Love has been a big focus in my studies and in the messages we share with our members. President Monson said that love is the essence of the gospel. Christ said that people will be able to identify us as his disciples by the love we have for everyone. Sharing the gospel is sharing love. So, honestly, it's like it's Valentine's Day every day! ❤😁 I had two wonderful experiences this week where I was able to share Christ's gospel with people. The first was with two guys who work at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. (Really cool people. One is a rock climbing instructor there and the other trains horses.) Their member friends invited us and them to dinner together, and we asked them if they wanted to learn more ...

Love Y'all

Good morning! I hope y'all are doing so well. Miss you. I've felt so much love this week, and in honor of Valentine's day, I wanted to tell you about it. :) First, I've felt a lot of love and support from my ward. Poor Sister Kershaw got so sick Wednesday. She slept  all  day. I felt so bad for her. But so many people were worried about her and took care of us. So nice. Sister Flippo brought her saltine crackers and jello and was like our mom. We also played Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza with two different families this week which was so fun. All kinds of love. :D Also, we hung out with the young women. They were throwing a surprise birthday party, and, as the tallest one there, I hung up all kinds of streamers and banners. AND, I competed in a pancake eating competition on Saturday. I needed to eat 19 pancakes to beat the record, and I definitely didn't. I died--so full. But, the family we were doing it with were so nice, even when I failed.  Second,...

Gene's Baptism!

Good morning! This week was incredible, so many awesome things I can't tell you about all of them. So I'll just tell you about Saturday because it was the best day of my whole life. Saturday morning we went on a  gorgeous  hike with the youth. We went behind this waterfall and it led us to a beautiful valley. Then we explored this cave. It was super dark inside, and there were some tight places, but at the end, there was a waterfall  inside the cave !!! It was the most epic thing I had ever done. Also, I love the youth in this ward. I just feel like I'm with all of my best friends. We rode up with two young women, and they were telling us how they want to go on missions, and it made my heart so happy. Cause this is the best life. :)  After the hike, we got Thai food and then went to GENE'S BAPTISM!! It was so special. I got to play the piano and be a witness which was cool. Mostly I was just happy to be there. And so happy for Gene. He has promise...
